"A fundraising effort put on by Donald Trump supporters at the Canfield fair appears to be a success....

Since then, contributors have been buying faux bricks made out of wood, to build a “wall”, like the one Trump is proposing to be built along the U.S. - Mexican border.

The “bricks” can be purchased for donations ranging from $5 to $20.

In addition to the wall, GOP officials say people have been dropping by their tent buying t-shirts, buttons, and signs to show their support for Trump."

Under a heavily guarded escort, Trump immediately visited a sea of his supporters camped out near rides and food vendors upon his arrival.

He spent time talking one on one with voters and bypassed any direct questions from the media standing by.

"I'm used to seeing him on TV," Emily Razo said, of Greenford.
Trump autographed Razo's "Make America Great Again" baseball hat and her father shared a moment with the candidate.

"I yelled 'Mr. Trump, Ohio loves you', he looked me in the eye and said 'thank you sir'," Eli Razo said.

At least at the Canfield Fair, Trump merchandise is a hot commodity this year. Mahoning County Republican Party Chairman Mark Munroe tells 21 News the items had to be restocked more than once this week.

As for the wall by the GOP's tent-- it was built and rebuilt again three times.

Parents say the typical Labor Day family affair is instead a lesson in civics. Pagie of Poland and her mom are talking about the election around the dinner table these days.

"Everyone certainly is entitled to their own opinion, but if it can be peaceful and if we can all come together, that's what we can hope for and when you see children like this, that's what we needed to do for our kids, that's what we need to teach them as children," Shirley Smith-Fluent said."
