- From 2010 Legatum Prosperity Index, "Personal Freedom Mexico ranks 72nd":
"Mexicans have slightly higher levels of civic freedoms including freedom of speech, belief, association, and personal autonomy than the global average. Civil liberties are accordingly fairly good, placing the country 53rd, globally. Around seven in 10* Mexicans are happy with their freedom of choice in life, according to a 2009 survey: the 65th highest level overall.
- Only 59%* of Mexicans said that their local area welcomed immigrants and
- 56%* said that it was tolerant of racial and ethnic minorities.
These are the 76th and 82nd highest levels in the world....
