"The George Soros-funded, out-to-get-Fox-News and generally-lamebrained Media Matters is claiming that Fox editor Bill Sammon committed the grave felony of urging climate skepticism to Fox staff in a December 2009 e-mail. Sammon, of course, did nothing of the sort. The e-mail in question reads:
“Given the controversy over the veracity of climate change data we should refrain from asserting that the planet has warmed (or cooled) in any given period without IMMEDIATELY pointing out that such theories are based upon data that critics have called into question. It is not our place as journalists to assert such notions as facts, especially as this debate intensifies.”
Rather than urging skepticism, Sammon merely advised reporters to treat claims about global warming as what they are — claims that are disputed. Sammon correctly noted that
- a journalist’s job is to report the facts rather than to decide what they are.
This is apparently too a subtle distinction for the comrades at Media Mutters."

2/13/10, BBC: "(Question) V - If you have confidence in your science why didn't you come out fighting like the UK government's drugs adviser David Nutt when he was criticised?
(Phil Jones' answer): I don't feel this question merits an answer."...
- Media Matters and others have de facto put the weight of the world on Phil Jones' shoulders. Mr. Jones isn't anxious to carry this weight.
Mr. Jones' predicament is acknowledged by a fellow climate scientist in the ClimateGate emails, 10/9/2009, "From: Ben Santer

Dear Phil,
- The only reason these guys are going after you is because your work is of crucial importance -
Jones himself has not appeared eager to carry the world on his shoulders as much as some wish he would. The BBC and others vigorously claim the science is settled on man made catastrophic, sinking islands, pay up billions, global warming/change. Much of the money extracted from taxpayers is going straight to organized crime, but no one cares.
- It's not about the planet, it's about taking money away from the American middle class.
I do not watch Fox News, but if they suggest their staff not say global warming was settled science, or that carbon tax and cap and trade were good things, they would be reflective of Phil Jones' own behavior on the subject.(Since I don't watch, I don't know what Fox has said about ethanol all these years. Al Gore has admitted he lied about it. I wonder if Fox viewed corn-based ethanol as good, bad, or neutral. ed)
UK scientists said 10 years ago that global warming would be proved by an absence of snow in winter. After seeing all the snow in several recent years and having influenced world governments and transfer (robbing) of billions of tax dollars, UK's Royal Meteorological Society is left with no choice but to claim the reverse, ie all the snow is absolute proof of global warming.

- Which is fine but this "science" was used to make US government policy and demand billions in 'reparations' from middle class taxpayers.
- If that isn't a crime, I'd like to know what is. ed.
