FISA warrant effectively criminalizes a political party for not wanting to bomb Russia, a candidate for allegedly not being in lock step with party “insiders,” and advances financial interests of the only US political party, the Endless Unwinnable War Party, the party that enslaves US taxpayers from birth-The Federalist

FISA warrant effectively criminalizes alleged GOP foreign policy

7/23/18, 10 Key Takeaways From The Released FISA Warrants Against Carter Page,” The Federalist, Margot Cleveland

#6:

“6. The DOJ Effectively Criminalized GOP Foreign Policy

The above discussion also reveals another troubling aspect of the Obama administration’s investigation into the Trump campaign:

The DOJ used leaked information from internal GOP’s platform debates as “evidence” of collusion.
Also disconcerting is the DOJ’s reliance on Trump’s “conciliatory words” toward Russia in conflict with GOP insiders to justify spying on the Trump campaign—in effect criminalizing foreign policy differences concerning Ukraine.”…

#5, below, Permanent War Party renders elections and other political parties charades, removes the need for voters without whose tax dollars the War Industry could not exist. The Oct. 2016 FISA warrant is concerned that GOP platform might not be sufficiently in favor of US taxpayer funding of Endless foreign wars, scroll down, 7/2016 Washington Post opinion article, and 8/2016 Politico article. The stunning implication is that US elections are just for show, that voters are actually slaves of the US Endless Unwinnable War Industry, and can’t be allowed to decide if they want to continue their enslavement. Other countries can have “regime change” but Americans can’t because they’re slaves:

“5. The DOJ Used News Outlets to Establish Probable Cause

The FISA applications further exposed the extent to which the DOJ relied on unverified media reports to support their request for court-ordered electronic surveillance of [Carter] Page. Contrary to Democrat claims that the applications’ reliance on a Yahoo News article was passing, the FISA documents detailed the Yahoo News article’s assertion that a “well-placed Western intelligence source,” told the news organization that Page met with the Russian agents in July.

Just as statements from unverified “sub-sources” could not establish probable cause, unverified newspaper articles could not either. The DOJ, however, did not limit itself to repeating the Yahoo News article’s claims, which the public later learned had also originated from Steele. The FISA application also cited two other media reports.

One was apparently Josh Rogin’s [July 2016] Washington Post opinion article, which reported claims that Trump campaign members “worked behind the scenes to make sure [the GOP]’s platform would not call for giving weapons to Ukraine to fight Russian and rebel forces.” The DOJ also relied on an article from August 2016—likely the Michael Crowley Politico piece—that “opined that while the reason for [Trump’s] shift [in Russian policy] was not clear, [Trump]’s more conciliatory words, which contradict [the GOP]’s official platform, follow [Trump]’s recent association with several people sympathetic to Russian influence in Ukraine, including foreign policy advisor Carter Page.””…

[Ed. note re: Carter Page: ”December 2016: Trump attorney Don McGahn writes [Carter] Page to “immediately cease” saying he is a Trump advisor. “You were merely one of the many people named to a foreign policy advisory committee in March of 2016 — a committee that met one time,” McGahn writes. “You never met Mr. Trump, nor did you ever ‘advise’ Mr. Trump about anything. You are thus not an ‘advisor’ to Mr. Trump in any sense of the word.””

(continuing, The Federalist):
.......

There are two fundamental problems with this portion of the FISA application. First, as the Washington Examiner’s Byron York explained, the GOP platform narrative the Washington Post and Politico pushed was extremely misleading. Second, when I asked Page whether he participated in the GOP Russia platform debate, the former Trump advisor responded with an emphatic “NEVER,” and shared this excerpt from his defamation lawsuit against a media conglomerate:

“Plaintiff, Dr. Page arrived on Delta flight 5353 at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport at 1:36 p.m. on July 18, 2016, the same day that the Washington Post published the following report: ‘Trump campaign guts GOP’s anti-Russia stance on Ukraine’. (Delta Air Lines flight confirmation attached as Exhibit 19(a)) Dr. Page played no role whatsoever in the drafting of the 2016 Republican party platform.”

The FISA applications create the false impression that Page was involved with the GOP platform debate. The DOJ then used that misleading inference to support its claim that Page was a foreign agent.”…

Added: Citation: Carter Page never met Trump, never “advised” him on anything, was on a committee that met one time:

“”December 2016: Trump attorney Don McGahn writes [Carter] Page to “immediately cease” saying he is a Trump advisor. “You were merely one of the many people named to a foreign policy advisory committee in March of 2016 — a committee that met one time,” McGahn writes. You never met Mr. Trump, nor did you ever ‘advise’ Mr. Trump about anything. You are thus not an ‘advisor’ to Mr. Trump in any sense of the word.”"

Added: Steele anti-Trump dossier also promoted the gravy train of the Endless Unwinnable War Industry, “especially within the Transatlantic alliance,” despite that this is clearly fraud against the American people. World War II ended 70 years ago and the Soviet Union ceased to exist over 25 years ago.

1/12/2018, “FBI vets: What many are missing about the infamous ‘dossier’ amid Russia probe,” ABC News, Mike Levine

“Dossier: Putin directed effort to support Trump

In that first report, filed June 20, 2016, Steele wrote: “The Russian authorities had been cultivating and supporting U.S. Republican presidential candidate, Donald TRUMP for at least 5 years. Source B asserted that the Trump operation was both supported and directed by Russian President Vladimir PUTIN. Its aim was to sow discord and disunity both within the U.S. itself, but more especially within the Transatlantic alliance which was viewed as inimical to Russia’s interests.””
……………………..

Added: After fall of Soviet Union in 1991, arrogant US elites thought Russia was “ours to lose:”

“In the years following the end of the Soviet Union, the idea that Russia was “ours to lose” gained wide currency in American foreign policy circles. The idea that Russia is an enemy culture in addition to a geopolitical adversary has since gained wide purchase among American media and political elites. As one prominent commentator put it: “Russia has been targeting the American right.””

Added: In the 1990s US elites plundered Russia:

May 14, 1998, “The Harvard Boys Do Russia, The Nation, Janine R. Wedel

Apparently believing themselves entitled, US oligarchs plundered Russia: Bill Clinton Harvard cronies, George Soros, and Harvard Institute for International Development destroyed Russia’s wealth and its middle class. Hundreds of millions of US tax dollars were also lost through lavish USAID grants.
…………………………

Added: The US is no longer a democracy:

7/20/18, “America’s Derangement Syndrome a Danger to World Peace,” Strategic Culture Editorial

All-too apparently President Trump has actually very little freedom to exercise his democratic mandate. That is a damning indictment on the charade of American formal democracy. A president is elected partly on the basis of peaceful engagement, but the unelected powers-that-be have another agenda of conflict which they are pursuing come hell or high water.”
