If Romm's concern is US CO2, he should take a bow, US CO2 has dropped drastically, US leads the world in reduction of CO2. No need to try and censor CNN guests

12/5/12, "CNN Still Gives Equal Time To Anti-Science Disinformation," Joe Romm, Think Progress

"Bottom Line: The media really needs to stop the false balance, but if they insist on airing the falsehoods of the pro-pollution disinformers, at least we can hope they continue to use their most ineffective ones." (item at end of article)

----------------------------------------------------------------

If by "pollution" Romm means US CO2 he should take a bow.  After decades of work, government intervention, and billions of US taxpayer dollars, CO2 is no longer a danger in the US:

US leads the world in CO2 reduction and scientists say emissions are going even lower. Experts interviewed by AP look for US policy to change to reflect less concern for CO2 danger. US CO2  is no longer a problem if it ever was.

Global Warming ‘action’ was institutionalized in US government in 1990 by George Bush the 1st via the U.S. Global Change Research Act of 1990.CO2 is mentioned near the end. Also that year the U.S. began emissions trading "to control environmental problems." (p. 2)

Devoting 13 federal agencies to ‘climate' is probably too much 'climate action.'

Billions have been taken from US taxpayers for 'climate' via agency budget allocations, tax subsidies, diversion of US military to climate or green projects, countless federal regulations, vast sums shipped out in foreign aid for no-strings ‘climate’ endeavors.

Just last month, Obama took 'climate action' by giving $6 billion US taxpayer dollars to the Sultan of Brunei who owns 5000+ cars and to the Pres. of Indonesia, a country so corrupt even the World Bank says crime adds 20% to costs. Below, one of the Sultan's cars:

Does Think Progress know US greenhouse gas measuring has been cut back drastically?

Obama has cut back US measuring of greenhouse gases. Scientists' protest was published in Science Magazine 8/31/12:

“NOAA has stopped measuring greenhouse gas levels at a dozen ground stations, eliminated some aircraft monitoring and cut the frequency of remaining measurements in half.”...

"Virtually everyone believes the shift could have major long-term implications for U.S. energy policy.”…

8/16/12, “AP IMPACT: CO2 emissions in US drop to 20-year low,” AP, Kevin Begos

In a surprising turnaround, the amount of carbon dioxide being released into the atmosphere in the U.S. has fallen dramatically to its lowest level in 20 years, and government officials say the biggest reason is that cheap and plentiful natural gas has led many power plant operators to switch from dirtier-burning coal.

Many of the world’s leading climate scientists didn’t see the drop coming, in large part because it happened as a result of market forces rather than direct government action against carbon dioxide, a greenhouse gas that traps heat in the atmosphere.

Michael Mann, director of the Earth System Science Center at Penn State University, said the shift away from coal is reason for “cautious optimism” about potential ways to deal with climate change….

In a little-noticed technical report, the U.S. Energy Information Agency, a part of the Energy Department, said this month that energy related U.S. CO2 emissions for the
first four months of this year fell to about 1992 levels. Energy emissions make up about 98 percent of the total. The Associated Press contacted environmental experts, scientists and utility companies and learned that  virtually everyone believes the shift could have major long-term implications for U.S. energy policy.”…

“Not only that, but as my top chart shows, US CO2 emissions are falling even faster than what President Obama pledged in the global Copenhagen Accord.”…

4/21/12, "Why [CO2] Emissions Are Declining in the U.S. But Not in Europe," by Michael Shellenberger and Ted Nordhaus, newgeography.com

"As we note below in a new article for Yale360, a funny thing happened: U.S. emissions started going down in 2005 and are expected to decline further over the next decade."

How does the author define "pollution"? The author cites "carbon pollution" elsewhere in the article. How does he define "carbon pollution?"

Also in the article the author uses the term "cyber-bully" in a negative connotation leading one to think the author is against bullying. The author suggests CNN should only air views that he (Romm) agrees with. If Romm urges media outlets not to air views other than his own, how is that not "bullying?"
