George Soros gave Ivanka's husband's business a $250 million credit line in 2015 per WSJ. Soros is also an investor in Jared's business.

'Partisan Bickering' hack Avlon and John Batchelor, a latter day Jimmy Swaggert

Update, 11/29/12, Maybe now John Avlon will have spare time to get a psychiatric evaluation of his manic condition. Avlon sides with all powerful government against the people. He seems on the verge of a heart attack anytime someone has a view different from his own.

"We in the media are supposed to be the watchdogs over government, not lapdogs,
” Savage said. “That’s what freedom of speech and freedom of press entails.”" Michael Savage
11/28/12, "Michael Savage goes live in NYC, D.C.," WND

====================

Update, 11/19/12, "Human rights?! Human rights?!" Batchelor urgently cued his guest in an attempt to attach the Obama persona and/or his trip to Burma to such an ideal.  Right. Ahmadinejad offered to stop making a nuclear bomb if Obama was re-elected. So at least someone knows Obama couldn't care less about human rights. Oooh, what a great speech...

-----------------------------------------------

Update, 8/30/12, Mr. Batchelor attended Seminary. This gave him an aura of seriousness as it did showmen Jimmy Swaggert, Jim Bakker, and others. However, if you're a clown, it will eventually come out and it's the clown people will remember. Wednesday night Batchelor spoke of news about Communist China. The Communist Chinese recently expressed concern about Romney's position on trade with them. Batchelor withholds that information and instead goes into his lucrative clown mode in which he gives the far left free promotion by ridiculing the right of center candidate. The supposedly serious Batchelor asks his guest if China's concern with Romney is due to a bad experience "with the Mormon religion or Bain Capital."

-------------------------------------------------

7/28/12, Below photo of John Batchelor from website of PERC, a CO2 terror advocacy organization (ie let's make money by inventing climate terror) of which Batchelor is a "media fellow."

Update, July 28, 2012, So Batchelor is a paid representative of PERC, a 'climate' group advocating financial opportunities in the CO2 terror industry. For example, they advocate "catch shares" to regulate fishermen. (It must be the 'moral' way-just guessing). PERC was also a sponsor of a recent Penn State climate catastrophe panel which included Michael Mann. Batchelor had mentioned on a number of occasions in the past that his financial condition wasn't great so it was just a matter of time before the multi-trillion dollar climate industry would step in to alleviate his problem. Batchelor at one time said the idea of AGW was fantastic (ridiculous).

------------------------------------------

Update, about Thursday night, Thurs., 7/12/12, I tried tuning in 3 times. Batchelor wasn't telling us about racism and rape in India today, that millions in India today lack toilets or electricity and when girls go outside to go to the bathroom day or night they're attacked and raped, or that a holocaust is going on today to eradicate remaining Christians from the Middle East and Africa. No, instead, Batchelor had a long chirpy conversation with an author about rapes, barbarities, and holocausts enacted by Christopher Columbus. I tuned in another time and Batchelor had a guy explaining how Christians slaughtered Muslims in Europe at sometime long ago. Batchelor is delusional, desperate or both with his blame America first obsession, noted also on 10/29/11 post below where Batchelor was obsessed with blaming the US for Mexico's problems.

--------------------------------------

Generic update, 7/12/2012: John Batchelor as salesman for the multi-trillion dollar CO2 endangerment/climate industry: Even some at NRDC say it's all over for CO2 in the US, US CO2 has dropped drastically. They say nobody knows it because media doesn't cover it. It's been largely unreported since at least 2006:

6/29/12, "The United States of America basically blew the global greens off completely, trampling all over their carbon tax and cap and trade agendas, and earning wails and shrieks of hatred at the Rio+20 Summit while making huge strides toward reducing CO2 emission levels." ...

6/26/12, "Reducing U.S. (CO2) emissions to 17 percent below 2005 levels by 2020 is well within reach." NRDC notes little media coverage of this, few know about it:
"Back in February I posted about a surprising development: Despite the failure of comprehensive climate and energy legislation in 2010, U.S. carbon pollution emissions and projections of future carbon pollution have been coming down ever since. A new forecast out this week continues that trend.
While there has been some press coverage of these facts (see here and here) I continue to find that most people are surprised to learn about this progress....
On Monday EIA released its full Annual Energy Outlook 2012 (AEO 2012), and I get to say I told you so (see figure)."...
Global warming went from a joke to a truly dire, "Too Big to Fail" crisis via propagandist-for-hire John Batchelor. His Detroit money equates the following: advance the global warming agenda=more Chevy Volts will be sold=Obama must be re-elected (as expressed almost exactly by Batchelor's electric car advocate-guest Lou Ann Hammond on 4/1/12). Even though the total carbon footprint for electric cars is greater than ordinary gas driven cars in large part due to the gigantic batteries they require, the rare earth polluting minerals required in their manufacture, the fact that they need fossil fuels to charge up, and that batteries must be replaced every few years:

6/10/11, "Electric cars may not be so green after all, says British study," The Australian, Ben Webster (from The UK Times)

"ELECTRIC cars could produce higher emissions over their lifetimes than petrol equivalents because of the energy consumed in making their batteries, a study has found. An electric car owner would have to drive at least 129,000km before producing a net saving in CO2. Many electric cars will not travel that far in their lifetime."Emissions from manufacturing electric cars are at least 50 per cent higher because batteries are made from materials such as lithium, copper and refined silicon, which
  • require much energy to be processed.
Many electric cars are expected to need a replacement battery after a few years. Once the emissions from producing the second battery are added in, the total CO2 from producing an electric car rises to 12.6 tonnes,
  • compared with 5.6 tonnes for a petrol car.
Disposal also produces double the emissions because of the energy consumed in recovering and recycling metals in the battery. The study also took into account carbon emitted
  • to generate the grid electricity consumed.
Greg Archer, director of Low CVP, said the industry should state the full lifecycle emissions of cars rather than just tailpipe emissions, to avoid misleading consumers. He said that drivers wanting to minimise emissions could be better off buying a small, efficient petrol or diesel car."...

Then there's ABC Radio Networks. Suffice to say they're on the side of trillion dollar catastrophic human caused (mainly evil American caused) global warming via excess CO2 (which doesn't exist in the US and was never a problem to begin with, just a little massive theft). Mr. Batchelor has opted for the one side that offers financial security and a chance to be in with the in crowd.
"The Americans? Really? Every year the International Energy Agency (IEA) calculates humanity's CO2 pollution from burning fossil fuels. And once again, the overall story line is one of ever-increasing emissions."...

=============================

Update, Mon., March 19, 2012, Ran across some Avlon extreme verbage via James Taranto in a discussion following Avlon's March 2010 book. James Taranto, 3/25/10, "'Wingnuts': An Autobiography? The curious case of John Avlon and the "scary new GOP poll," WSJ.com.
  • Avlon holds the far left belief that things are better if the public square is dominated by one point of view--his.
Others like Tom Friedman share this view, Friedman citing Communist China for being able to get so much more done because it doesn't have to deal with annoying elections. Also in far left mode, Avlon criticizes others for exactly the behavior that defines himself: extreme intolerance. Avlon surprised Batchelor recently with news that he (Avlon) was a White House intern during the Clinton administration. Avlon talks in serious tones about "the GOP," I guess because he has to have something to demonize, but the GOP doesn't really exist. To the extent it does exist, it's a small group of losers determined to be in the minority. They can't stand ordinary Americans, and don't want any of them (like me) in 'the party.' While many of us may vote on that line, we think of ourselves more as independents. Avlon imagined that Obama's victory meant the entire country was permanently far left.
  • When the Silent Majority emerged from the ash heap of the Bush administration, people like Avlon thought they were seeing a ghost. God, please tell me this isn't happening, they said. (Avlon would label us "the far, far, far right." But he doesn't "label.")
------------------------------------------------
Update, Fri. night, March 16, Mr. Batchelor interviews someone from Bloomberg Business Week about Afghanistan, asks him if the US has made a difference there. The guest says yes, he thinks people are better off overall. JB jumps in earnestly and says 'yes, now 13 million people have cell phones there compared to (a minimal number) when we first got there, and that brings transparency, and also (some number) of children are in school now which is much more than used to be and many more are girls now.' Mr. Batchelor, many Americans have died and many more were maimed in what was never really a war to begin with. Would you have given your life or that of one or both of your children for some cell phones? Approximately one trillion US taxpayer dollars have been removed at gunpoint (ie you go to jail if you don't pay your taxes) from struggling middle class taxpayers (the rich and poor don't pay taxes) for these cell phones. The majority of the money has gone to the Taliban-it's no secret, has been reported for years. The Taliban has never stopped running the place. Money that doesn't go to the Taliban goes into bank accounts of US political cronies.
ABC Radio Networks apparently wants to deceive ordinary Americans:
7/25/11, "U.S. trucking funds end up in Taliban hands," Reuters

"Cash from part of a $2.16 billion U.S. transportation contract in Afghanistan has ended up in the hands of Taliban insurgents, the Pentagon said on Monday."...
===================
10/13/10, "Afghan firms "pay off Taliban with foreign [American] cash," Reuters
-------------------------
9/25/11, "Government by crime syndicate," LA Times, Op-ed, Sarah Chayes,
"In Afghanistan and elsewhere, rampant corruption threatens security and the rule of law."

"Afghanistan is controlled by a structured, mafiaesque system, in which money flows upward via purchase of office, kickbacks or "sweets" in return for permission to extract resources (of which more varieties exist in impoverished Afghanistan than one might think)."...

"Subcontractors are impossible to trace."...

9/19/2010, "U.S. contractor accused of fraud still winning big Afghan projects," McClatchy, Taylor and Strobel

Also on Friday night's show Batchelor framed a beautiful picture about Obama's green car by Fisker, how California loves green cars. He doesn't mention until 11:14 (near the end of the segment) that the car has been blowing up or going dead (during a Consumer Reports test). He shortly does end the segment with Jeff in California but Jeff squeezes in that the failed car Obama has robbed taxpayers to pay for is made in Finland.

----------------------------------
Update, 3/13/12, Batchelor refers to the one "funny" (as in odd) CBS News poll (about Obama) that came out yesterday in the John Fund segment which was first in the 10pm hour. Yesterday's CBS News/NY Times poll was exceedingly negative regarding Obama but JB can't bring himself to say that. Also it wasn't "one" poll, the CBS poll was the 2nd such poll that came out yesterday with the same bad news for Obama, the earlier one being the Washington Post/ABC News poll. The WaPo is as eager to silence the annoying American middle class as Batchelor is and couldn't tell the truth about their poll, saying only that Obama was "on par" vs likely opponents and claim it was just gas prices anyway. Reference:

--------------------------

One more thing about 2/29/12 show: Mr. Batchelor chose one person to showcase as THE source for early GOP results and did so in reverential tone. He chose proven failure Karl Rove. Mark Levin reported the next day he watched Rove and Trippi on Fox News, that Rove's numbers were way off, and Trippi on the other hand was quite informative. A great deal has been written about Rove, more than enough that a normal person would know not to promote him as a reliable source on anything, least of all the GOP. Rove of course contributed much to the destruction of the GOP during the Bush years and works daily to make sure it STAYS good and dead. He's the last person you'd even want to ask for the correct time.

Update, 2/29/12, "Did lawsuit factor in Olympia Snowe's departure?" On Olympia Snowe announcement, this is wonderful news for independent conservatives and Tea Party people whose first priority is to save this country. The democrat controlled Senate was heaven for her. Instead of switching parties to be with her heart, she remained a Republican and got to be the center of attention, both sides hoping she would go to the dance with them. There was no pressure on her, certainly not from McConnell-he prefers voting with democrats. Her comments on the way out the door were ungracious and nonsensical unless they were aimed at a future opponent from her new base as a so-called 'centrist' which of course is a far left democrat in a different dress. But, that's where the money and invitations are. She mentioned only one problem with the democrats which was about ObamaCare: NY Times, Steinhauer, 2/28/12, "Despite her reputation for crossing the aisle, Ms. Snowe stood firm against the health care overhaul in 2009, even though she had worked closely with Democrats on the issue for years. She complained that party leaders were ramming the measure through without offering sufficient chance to consider changes, and the experience colored her relationship with top Democrats." Oops.

The Batchelor-Avlon narrative was of course that the Silent Majority should become even quieter. Batchelor cues Avlon for his 'take' suggesting he already knows what it will be. Avlon apparently forgets the Senate is democrat controlled, has been for some years, and blames her exit on Republicans, saying well "the Ruhpblcnzz have to really..." do such and such about partisanship or centrism, the usual crap to silence all dissent from the right. Democrats who support rioting, violent, destructive, defecating, criminal Occupy vermin don't have to change at all. Avlon must know the GOP loves voting with democrats and is looking forward to losing its majority in the House. If he admitted this, there would be no reason for him to be on Batchelor's show. I mean for God's sake, all Republicans do is go on tv and say how much they like doing whatever democrats want. Has Avlon ever heard of Scott Brown? Rep. Pingree will probably be elected to fill Snowe's seat. She's a radical leftist married to an ultra-rich media mogul. When you have the media, the hearts will follow.

------------------------------

Update, 2/23/12, Soros inside John Batchelor radio booth. Criminally insane billionaires throughout history have gained acceptance to society by doing public service that may be seen as "good work" and "philanthropy." They get lots of babes. The criminally insane billionaires have committed crimes against humanity, have knowingly caused suffering and impoverishment of millions and continue to do so. Mass media such as John Batchelor and his guest tonight, a member of the Wall St. Journal editorial page, are accessories to this. They tell the world that the "Open Society Judicial Initiative" or "Open Society Judicial Foundation" is "something to watch" and does "good work." A prostitute on the street has more honor than John Batchelor. He is like someone who sells vaccine for children that's been diluted. It's not just death that's dished out but horrible death. Hey, join JB for one of his "conservative" cruises.
--------------------------------------------
Update, 2/6/12: "Far, Far, Far, Far Left extremist" Avlon proves again he is an expert on nothing. Mr. Avlon, the Republican Party does not exist. It was killed during the Bush administration. Those remaining in the apparatus after Bush left should be in jail--along with many on the left. Right of center people outside the Beltway are people like me whom you (and the GOP) demonize and call "the FAR Right" in hopes of marginalizing us even though we've never caused one riot, defaced any property, or forced already suffering taxpayers to pay millions in police overtime. You don't understand why we won't GO BACK TO BEING SILENT because it's YOUR country not ours. You rage that the "far right" is pulling "swing voters" away from the GOP. This is the same boilerplate lie the NY Times, Karl Rove, Bill Kristol and the rest have been trying to sell for the past few years and for the same reason you're doing so. How exactly do you, Mr. "NO Labels" affix the "FAR right" LABEL to a person like me-as you do. Please describe me. I guarantee you'll be quite wrong.
----------------------------

Update, 1/30/12: ""The all-out assault on conservatives in the Republican Party is what is the story of this primary campaign....the establishment Republicans are trying to take the Tea Party out." Rush Limbaugh

Monday night, Batchelor mistakenly refers to "your people" when speaking to Avlon about "independents" which Avlon knows nothing about. Avlon's 'career' entails spouting Soros talking points (see below). Avlon worries the tone of campaigns will 'divide' the country further (yes, we are divided, we don't accept Avlon's definition of utopia), that negativity will carry into the general election, keep dividing, and will also fracture the Republican Party. Avlon has it 180 degrees wrong. The Republican Party is already dead, does not exist, does not want to exist, as proved by the candidates they have up. It died during the GW Bush administration. The Bush crowd handed the country back to democrats formally in Nov. 2006. The Bush crowd had long since told ordinary right of center Americans to drop dead. The Tea Party arose in the breach, gave the GOP a bunch of new people in Nov. 2010 which it DID NOT want, still doesn't want. The GOP today can only be described as "non-partisan Republicans." They are the opposite of Avlon's mantra of "divided" government. They love Obama, want to see him re-elected, and want as badly as Avlon does for the Silent Majority to shut the hell up. The GOP expects and wants Obama to be re-elected.

----------------------------------------

Update, 12/26/11, What a surprise, Avlon, Batchelor, and Soros are in the same echo chamber, that only the Soros view of state/government control of the economy should be heard:

4/28/11, "Soros bemoaned political polarization as “endangering our open society,”" during a speech in April 2011. "“The political controversy on the role of the state in the economy is raging in full force today, but the standards of political discourse have greatly deteriorated,” said Soros."...

4/28/11,
"
George Soros considers his options," Politico, Vogel, p. 1
==================

(Above, goose-stepping Korean soldiers, no divisiveness.)
Update, 12/2/11, If "divisiveness" is really the problem pompous Avlon says it is (in an attempt to invent a career for himself) why hasn't he attacked the Supreme Court and its multitude of 5-4 decisions? Why doesn't he call for an end to the "sharply divided" Supreme Court? How can America go on with such "polarization," right?

The Batchelor/Avlon campaign is 'we've just got to stop partisan bickering and be positive' which means shut down speech from the right--the Silent Majority. Violent, filthy mobs in the streets for weeks were spoken of with reverence by Mr. Batchelor. Some of the same people were behind 8 years of riots during George Bush which were on television all day and night. Was that "positive?" It's just the Silent Majority they aim to browbeat into extinction. After a number of weeks Avlon had no choice but to mention Occupy in passing but soon it was back to shutting up the right. Peaceful, quiet, clean Tea Party people of a couple years ago never camped out or caused one penny of damage were labeled as "extremists." Tea Party groups even paid thousands of dollars in fees for the right to have a brief, peaceful rally and left their places spotless.

This country was designed to move slowly. The left doesn't like that. ed.

-------------------------

Update, 11/13/11, Batchelor invites Obama and Van Jones crony Phil Angelides on his show Sunday night and he's so sweet and sincere, and JB and Phil marvel at how the whole country is just taken taken with the Occupy movement, and really identifies, and it looks like Occupy is going to cross over into a real force, and even though Oakland had some problems, the NYC Occupy group has been marvelous, and Phil was over at a demonstration today and saw a graduate of Brown University and other good schools, and the people Phil saw were people that had jobs but were coming to Occupy in their spare time because it's so important. This is the power of media lies whether by what they say or what they leave out, like thousands of arrests, rapes, slashings, deaths, defecation and urination, tuberculosis, pushing a 78 year old woman down a flight of stairs, millions in damages and police overtime. Media lies kill. 9/17/2009, "Sham Angelides Commission Will Protect ACORN," Big Government, Phil Kerpen.

-----------------------
Update, 11/3/11, JB is usually careful not to point out our depression-era economy. If the topic is mentioned at all on his show blame is given to American consumers and businesses whom he and guests say have plenty of money but won't spend it. They never blame the president, ie., Obama. Tonight, JB changed his tune. He said in an urgent tone, the US "GDP is 1.6 or 1.7!" and GOP candidates can't do anything about it because of preoccupation about Herman Cain! So, now the GDP IS a big problem and something a president could fix, it's not greedy Americans just afraid to spend. In any case per JB the GOP has conceded the 2012 presidential election to Obama.
------------------------

10/29/11, Tonight Batchelor tried hard to get a guest author to join him in "blaming America first" for widespread crime and violence in Mexico. The first time the author politely said well, yes that's part of it, then explained that Mexico itself is completely corrupt and has no judicial system. Batchelor chose to end the segment by again stating his belief that the US was the main problem. The author politely said well, don't forget about Europe, etc. The other night JB had a guy on talking about a new Islamist group traveling around the US, and how they were really nice, normal people, "not your father's Muslims" and compared them to many Americans who have religious beliefs. JB went along with this and pandered by referencing Bill Clinton carrying a Bible some years ago. I had to turn the radio off at that point. Taqiyya is popular because it is effective. It pre-empts normal discussion and opposing views. JB's favorite co-host complains about 'partisan bickering' and has a group called 'No Labels' for the purpose of silencing all views but his own. The NY Times and NPR scorned anyone who said Islamists had anything to do with Egypt's 'Arab Spring' demonstration in Tahrir Square. I heard 'experts' say look the guys in the square are 'clean shaven,' they couldn't possibly be Islamists. Either they were ignorant of the fact that the Muslim Brotherhood are known for being clean shaven, or they wanted to advance a false narrative:

Taqiyya
includes the art of pre-empting one's opponent

  • to prevent issues from being 'debated or discussed'
  • "Outwitting:

"Islamic spokesmen commonly use taqiyya as a form of 'outwitting'. The skilled taqiyya-tactician doesn’t want the matter at hand to be debated or discussed; so his opponent must be outwitted or preemptively outflanked by the use of taqiyya. The objective is to divert attention away from the subject through duplicity and obfuscation. "

4/30/07, "Understanding Taqiyya ― Islamic Principle of Lying for the Sake of Allah," IslamWatch, W. MacKenzie
----------------------

Sept. 12, 2011, Tonight Batchelor in semi exasperated tone says to guest from Texas media, "We've been hearing Rick Perry make all these "YAHOO" remarks about climatology" "and climate change and La Nina and" he's got all these fires raging down there, (Batchelor invites listeners to think it's global warming and doesn't mention reported arson) so Rick Perry sounds like he's not ready for prime time, what do you say?
  • Somewhere in there John tosses in what is supposed to pass as a disclaimer for his alleged objectivity by saying on the climate matter (meaning man made global warming) "we're not one way or t'other on that."
  • But Batchelor just called Perry's remarks on climate YAHOO.
He framed the issue using a mildly scornful, impatient tone. Batchelor apparently thinks we don't remember his past remarks. I had to turn him off after that. Reports about the fires have said the drought was typical for La Nina and would continue and that the fires were likely started by arson. Batchelor would rather enslave the US taxpayer body and soul to the trillion dollar government/hedge fund/organized crime climate cartel. It is deliberately misleading for listeners to hear the terms La Nina and "climate change" combined as if they are the same problem but that's how Batchelor phrased it (as a past regular listener, I know he knows this isn't so-the former describes natural climate and the latter man-caused climate). This is frequently done by those who support the the media/climate cartel. They can't exactly tell the truth. In this context, Batchelor means "man-caused catastrophic climate change/global warming" for which middle class Americans are criminally responsible and must pay billions every year in perpetuity to Soros $10 trillion 'climate' finance group and every guy in the UN who needs his guest house redecorated (US taxpayer money has actually been used for this purpose by UN personnel with no consequence, parag. 7 in link). Hope things are getting better for John after, as he says, he lost all his money in the dot.com crash.

June 20, 2011, If you're devoid of character, could use a few dollars, are physically incapable of referencing the biggest political force in the past 2 decades, George Soros, why not advance fake, death-inducing, highly lucrative globalist crap? Such as the "water" crisis issue pushed by a Science Mag. guy a few days ago in the friendly environment of Batchelor's radio show.

"Those who prefer high-density urban growth, rather than low-density suburbs, believe that restricting water supplies will help their cause. They don't, in other words, want Californians to have an abundant water supply for both agricultural and non-farm uses."...

4/3/11, "Dan Walters: California's water flow squandered," Sacrmento Bee, Dan Walters

"Those who really believe California has a water shortage should spend five minutes standing in Old Sacramento, watching the Sacramento River.
Operators of the three major dams on the Sacramento and its tributaries – Shasta, Oroville and Folsom – have opened their gates widely, sending boiling torrents of water downstream. They must draw down reservoirs behind the dams to control anticipated
  • runoff from one of the heaviest mountain snowpacks on record....
In a rational world, the extra flows in this and other high-water seasons would be diverted into what's called "off-stream storage," either into underground aquifers or into reservoirs such as San Luis Reservoir on the Pacheco Pass between Los Banos and Hollister.
However, San Luis, which holds more than 2 million acre-feet, is already full to the brim, and Southern California reservoirs are nearly full.
State water authorities have long called for more off-stream storage to capture high flows. For instance, had the proposed Sites reservoir in western Colusa County been built years ago, as it should have been, it would be absorbing another 2 million acre-feet of water for use in drought years and to stabilize flows on the Sacramento River.
If global warming has the widely predicted effect of reducing snowfall and increasing rain, off-stream storage will become even more critical. But Sites, like other aspects of California water policy, has been tied up in political stalemate for decades. It's not a conflict over water, but rather one of competing visions of how California should develop as it gains population in the 21st century.
Those who prefer high-density urban growth, rather than low-density suburbs, believe that restricting water supplies

  • will help their cause.
They don't, in other words, want Californians to have an abundant water supply
  • for both agricultural and non-farm uses."...

Update, 4/26/11, (Above photo Pol Pot). Mr. Batchelor reflected sweetly a few days ago on the issue of "fairness" being raised now, as in billionaires and trillionaires being allowed to count their money (reference to Obama's words that day about those who just 'count their money'-I guess Obama as a multimillionaire thinks his own money is good but that of others is bad). Batchelor wonders if the free wheeling spirit that made America is really "fair." Batchelor forgets when Obama says "the rich" he means the "middle class." He does not mean people like Soros and Bloomberg who stash billions in the Cayman Islands. Above photo of Pol Pot who greatly "cared" about "fairness" which motivated his direction of mass murders. "Fairness is a word that brings with it real danger. It is what Lenin, Mao and Pol Pot sought to impose. It is what Orwell satirised, in the most deadly fashion –"....UK Telegraph, Simon Heffer, 2/23/10. .................By the way last night JB promoted "Karl Rove" twice within a couple of minutes--a plus for Obama. Karl Rove is a failure, a joke, is largely responsible for destroying the Republican Party, giving us Obama, and would love to do it again. JB is on board with that as the segment on his show exemplified. Avlon promoted a candidate who was well thought of by "the Republican establishment." Their other guest mentioned Trojan horse Islamist promoter Grover Norquist as a credible Republican mover and shaker. All the elements pitched in the segment are dangerous to humanity, certainly to right of center citizens, and would assure easy re-election of Obama.

-----------------------------------------------
Update, 4/20/11, It's been my mistake to have taken John Batchelor seriously. Wednesday night, 4/20/11, speaking with a Bloomberg reporter about the economy Batchelor said, "My audience had GREAT expectations for the GDP," in reference to recent and upcoming GDP numbers. (April 11, 2011, "
G.D.P. Estimate for First Quarter Slides," to 1.5). I believe he said a new GDP number is expected next week. Regarding Batchelor's statement, rational people including myself have had no such expectations about the GDP. It is a physical impossibility for this nation's GDP to improve appreciably. Everyone without emotional problems knows this, I'm sorry to say. We had lost our ability to create new jobs and new industries before Obama came to office. What be has done is the exact opposite of what is needed to build the private sector. He has stated that his goal has been to transform the United States and that's what he has done. The people Obama has hired have little or no private sector experience and mostly despise it (as has been reported on Batchelor's show). Obama's and the left's priority is growing the public sector, ie the non-productive sector. The only gains recently in the private sector were low level, mostly women hires, in hospitality and service industries, and some just temp jobs. When Mr. Batchelor speaks of "his audience," he is not speaking of me or many who started with with him in 2001.

Update, 4/13/11, Did they teach ethics at the Seminary Batchelor attended, one wonders? On Tuesday night's show he again bashed the Koch brothers, and this time confused or blended them with a GOP group (they are Libertarians). I'm pretty sure Batchelor is aware that George Soros started groups (Democracy Alliance) and contributes through groups that either allow or demand anonymity of their donors. The biggest left wing donors love their anonymity. Batchelor is not bothered by anyone except the Koch brothers. It was widely reported that Soros spent $26 million to defeat George Bush. That gets no mention from the Seminary attendee, nor that Soros now functions as an unelected head of the US government. One is left to remember not to leave Mr. Batchelor unattended on one's property.

7/16/06, Washington Post: "A New Alliance of Democrats Spreads Funding," by Jim VandeHei and Chris Cillizza

"An alliance of nearly
a hundred of the nation's wealthiest donors is roiling Democratic political circles, directing
  • more than $50 million in the past nine months to liberal think tanks and advocacy groups in what organizers say is the first installment of a long-term campaign
  • to compete more aggressively against conservatives.
A year after its founding, Democracy Alliance has followed up on its pledge to become a major power in the liberal movement. It has lavished millions on groups that have been willing
These include the Center for American Progress, a think tank with an unabashed partisan edge, as well as Media Matters for America, which tracks what it sees as conservative bias in the news media. Several alliance donors are negotiating a major investment in Air America, a liberal talk-radio network."...

Update, 4/3/11,
John Batchelor should not be allowed on one's property unattended. Tonight on a segment with Avlon discussing the riots and deaths in Afghanistan connected with a Koran burning (a few minutes before 10:30pm), Batchelor says "Taliban flags are now flying in areas where they were not before" due to the action of the pastor. In addition to all the deaths. Batchelor is well informed, and likely knows this cannot possibly be true and even if it were, it is not connected to the riots--which were incited by Karzai and acted on by civilians, not Taliban members. It was unarmed civilians who took the weapons of UN guards and shot them. Other Islamists drove around with megaphones and told people Americans had burned hundreds of Korans. Batchelor himself is inciting more irrational negativity against Americans, which encourages violent consequences, and has positioned himself as an enemy of a free America.

  • Batchelor should be taken off the radio for this kind of speech in my view. But it's just the kind of speech ABC Radio Networks adores. Let's see, are 285,000 people calling Batchelor's advertisers as was done to Glenn Beck? Is Batchelor's employer running disclaimers at the end of each of his programs, saying it doesn't necessarily share his views?

All made possible by his pathetic pal John Batchelor who could headline a group named "No Conscience". Obsessive Leftist Labelers like John Avlon aim to shut up the Silent Majority for good while the left has their riots and whatever else they want. A boring, angry guy with no talent, no original thoughts, just wants to silence dissent. How superior, how elite.

Update: Avlon on 1/16/11 came up with, a new label for ordinary Americans,
  • "FAR, FAR RIGHT."
He revealed this on Sunday night's (1/16/11) John Avlon show (otherwise known as the John Batchelor show but now more a platform for Avlon). Avlon said some on the right who had objections to Scott Brown's record were
  • 'Far Right,' but that some were even
  • 'Far, Far Right.'
Just for the record.

"Round-up on Label Makers," from ApartmentTherapy.com (not looking to set up PAC's in 435 congressional districts to intimidate right of center Americans while having no objections when George Bush was burned in effigy for 8 years) Now we even have John Batchelor Monday night blaming "the Republicans" and "the neo-cons," on his show regarding why Obama can't simply pull out of Afghanistan. Obama has been free to do so for 2 years, but the left and certain business interests have always wanted to be in Afghanistan and couldn't care less what is lost to Americans (any more than George Bush did for that matter). "The Republicans" lost control of congress 4 years ago, Mr. Batchelor, the White House and Senate remain in Obama's control today. To mention "neo-cons" at this late date as hindering Obama today confirms Mr. Batchelor's as a full fledged Soros Republican and also proves going to Seminary doesn't produce men of principle. No one has mentioned the word neo-con in years, and if any of them still existed, they would have no power. Another example of the
  • powerful pull of money and the cocktail circuit, I guess:

(Above photo of course George Soros and friends. Soros, the inspiration for silencing free speech of right of center Americans, has to be thrilled with his proteges, Avlon and Batchelor).

"We thought we'd end this week full of organizing tips with a roundup on label makers. A simple label on your containers can save you time and money--find out which label makers we like the best and a few unexpected options that made the cut.

In the label making world, there are two brands that professional organizers turn to--Brother and Dymo. We actually own one of each (since neither are that pricey). We like the feel of the Brother PT-80's wide grip which allows us to easily hold it with both hands and type as if we were texting. It's standout features are the ability to print up to two lines of text and printing the time and date in six different formats.

We like the sleek look of the Dymo LetraTag Plus LT-100H with features that include a magnetic backed holder and three language selections; French, Spanish and English.

If you're going for more of a vintage-y look, this old school Dymo label maker will only set you back about $8 on Etsy.

When looking perfect is not a priority, masking tape and a Sharpie will do the job. We usually make temporary labels using tape and a marker when we're on large organizing jobs. That way if we decide to move things around or our containers change--we're not wasting the more expensive label tape.
We've seen wooden boxes or small compartments painted with chalkboard paint and then labeled with chalk. It's flirty and fun and can change at a moments notice.
Do you own a label maker?"

"honestly if you have that much stuff that you need to buy a label maker, to label things, it may be time to purge!
  • I label everything, but I still haven't bought a good maker, I just borrow one from work for the weekend.
Oh yeah, and the vintage-y looking Dymo ones aren't so great if you are a serious labeler - the impressed words tend to fade over time and they lose their stick and curl over time as well.
  • I have the Brother P-Touch and use it a lot more than I thought I would. I got it free after rebate from Staples last year. My favorite thing to do is to label computer/camera cords - it makes life so much easier.
I have 2 P-Touches. One at work and one at home. I love them both and they help me stave off chaos.

You don't have to have much stuff at all to label. It is all about organization style. I do much better, whether I'm organizing 2 items or 20, with labels and lots of structure.
  • I have the Brother that the Container Store sells. It comes with two rolls of tape (one clear, one white), batteries, and a nice case. It's a great value. It's the only product that Container Store employees do not get a discount on.
Chalk is "flirty and fun"--what universe do you people live in? Labeling with chalk is fine if you change your mind every 10 minutes.

The P-Touch is great. Post could have stopped with that suggestion.
So, what's the best way to label--title, date, how specific?
  • They showed this photo in an earlier post. I can't remember what it was for but I was so excited to the the Serenity dvd. Huge Fan!
I'm with Bobbycat, if you really need to label everything then you've got too much stuff. Though it is amusing to see obsessive compulsive types go nuts with labels. There used to be a small photocopy shop near my house and the proprietor was extremely uptight and controlling, and she labeled everything, even the stapler. The STAPLER, for Pete's sake.
  • ElleBee--but did she have her name on it? I love people who put their names on everything. Ashley's Tape.
I agree w/ Palmetto, chalk isn't flirty, it's messy, scratches when you write and makes awful sounds! I like whiteboards much better.
  • I don't have any DVD cases at all. I put all my DVDs into binders made for CDs. There's one for drama, one for comedy, one for the kids' movies. They fit on the bookshelf, taking up no more room than three hardbacks. Why would anyone keep all the clutter of DVD boxes and buy special shelving units when it's so simple to, well, simplify?
I love my label maker!! I've got a Brother P-Touch too.

Some of my most handy labeling jobs:

Flour/Sugar: my containers are the same so it's nice at a glance to know which one to grab.

Spices: I've got a handy spice rack in a drawer with clear glass containers. Labeling is the only way to know what's what.
  • Oh and I make labels for friends and family when they want them to help justify owning one of these.
Brother P-Touch here. I label file folders, spice jars, boxes of sewing materials (notions, zippers, etc.), and tupperware containers. I hardly think it means I have Too Much Stuff. It means I don't waste time LOOKING for stuff, which is my least favorite thing to do in the world, ever, at all. I HATE looking for stuff. Hence: label maker.

We have one at work, too. Librarians bought it for labeling files, but I borrow it for files & binders. I have terrible handwriting, so everything just looks so much neater with a proper label.
  • buy a paint pen. $1.
  • i leave my dvds/cds in the original case. half the fun is the artwork.. and moving everything to a smaller case (top photo) just doubles your garbage.. and really, do you need to label the case when the disc has the title?
  • barf again, matt
Matt,

You do have to label them, especially the old school two-sided discs that have the titles in really small print in the middle of the disc. Uniformity makes searching a lot less painful. And personally, all of the fun is in the disc, not the plastic case that takes up too much space.

Bobbycat5,
  • I'm with antimatt on this one - half the fun is the cover art. Like with Vinyl...and people frame those now.
  • I use labels for off-season storage identification. I buy sturdy (not always clear) boxes and store with the labels face-out.
  • Paint pens, though. Good suggestion."

I have listened to John Avlon a great deal. He has never said anything new, he's just there, fumbling around. His presence on Batchelor's show has roughly coincided with Batchelor himself flipping to the far left, where the money is, proving panderers and phonies do come out of Seminary. I've stopped listening regularly, just tune in for short periods to see who-other than Avlon--might be on.
-------------------------------------------
Addendum: The pathetic, pandering Batchelor opens Sunday night's (3/14/11) show dramatically intoning that "Franklin..........Delano.............Roosevelt................was the greatest................president...............of the..............20th..............century." Batchelor deserves to lose his show. Phonies can hide in a lot of places, but not on radio. ed.
