PARK COUNTY, COLO., "Pike National Forest officials said a 70-acre wildfire that began over the weekend was human-caused, though they don't exactly know how it started yet.
Late Tuesday officials confirmed the fire did not start naturally.
The Weber Fire, which began about three miles north of Wilkerson Pass west of Lake George, Colo. grew to 70 acres Monday but was fully contained by 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.
About 50 of the 70 acres burned on U.S. National Forest Service land, while 20 burned on private land.
There were 70 firefighters assigned to the fire Tuesday, but that number will be reduced Wednesday.
Officials haven't determined if the human-caused fire was intentional or accidental but said

"The vast majority of wildfires on the refuge and in Mohave county are caused by humans."
"Causes of Wildfires," US Fish and Wildlife Service, Southwest Region2
"In an average year, Havasu National Wildlife Refuge will have several wildfires that occur on and/or near the refuge, including land managed by BLM, BIA, as well as state, county and private land. The frequency and size of these fires is dependant largely on weather conditions.
The vast majority of wildfires on the refuge and in Mohave county are caused by humans. Off the Refuge, many fires are started as a result of debris burning. Often these fires are rekindled, in some cases several days after the fire is thought to be out, when air temperature, wind speed and relative humidity come together to create conditions favorable for fires to burn and spread.
Lightning also is responsible for fires starting on the Refuge. Such fires occur at a frequency of three to five every year. Lightning here is generally associated with rain, so these fires do not usually grow to a large size.
Human caused fires that start on the Refuge are most often the result of arson or carelessness. These fires are usually suppressed before they become large, but some have reached into the hundreds of acres and threatened life and property on and off the Refuge."

2011's massive Arizona fire was set by humans and had nothing to do with CO2 poisoning. An untended campfire was left in a national forest. The fire happened to come close to U.S. Army Fort Huachuca. University of Arizona climate profiteer Sagarin suggests this helped the US Dept. of Defense see the need to take action against global warming.
8/24/11, "Feds charge 2 in devastating Wallow fire," AP, East Valley Tribune
"Federal charges have been filed against two cousins accused of accidentally causing the largest forest fire in Arizona's history by leaving a campfire unattended.
The U.S. attorney's office on Wednesday announced the charges against Caleb Joshua Malboeuf, 26, of Benson and David Wayne Malboeuf, 24, of Tucson.
The U.S. Forest Service said its investigators determined the men were camping in the Apache Sitgreaves National Forest when the fire began there May 29.
The agency said the two were out hiking when their campfire spread outside its fire ring in high winds....
The men each face five counts, including leaving a fire unattended and failing to maintain control of a fire that damaged a National Forest System....
Winds whipped the Wallow fire as it burned more than
538,000 acres in eastern Arizona and parts of western New Mexico, destroying 32 homes, four commercial structures and 36 outbuildings....
Monsoon rains eventually put out the flames."...

Below is another article about the 2011 Arizona fire stating it was human caused. This is from June 2011, the one above from Aug. 2011
June 16, 2011, "Monument Fire – 40 Homes Destroyed; Army Post in Pre-Evacuation Mode," Firefighter blog
"The Monument Fire is burning in Cochise County near Sierra Vista Arizona, home to the U.S. Army’s Fort Huachuca. The 10,000 acre wind driven blaze has already destroyed 40 homes and 10 buildings described as “other”. Winds today will gust to 30 mph from the southwest which will push smoke and flames towards Sierra Vista and the Fort.

Southwest droughts caused by particulate matter from Asia, not by CO2 and not even byAmericans:
5/18/12, "CO2 Not to Blame for Southwest Droughts?" World Climate Report
"According to Allen et al.:
The authors argue that there is a good likelihood that black carbon emissions have been underestimated—especially those arising from Southeast Asia....“Our analysis strongly suggests that recent Northern Hemisphere tropical expansion is driven mainly by black carbon and tropospheric ozone, with greenhouse gases playing a smaller part.”...
The bottom line is that the primary influences on a major component of the earth’s atmospheric circulation and thus general weather patterns turns out to be, on further examination, not atmospheric greenhouse gas concentration changes, but rather black carbon (soot) and tropospheric ozone. And one impact from the forced atmospheric circulation changes is a tendency for more aridity across the Southwestern U.S."...

Southwest US fires fed by undergrowth not 'climate change,' necessary thinning of forests has been legislated away by so-called environmentalists:
"On the Fort Apache Indian Reservation, where thinning is practiced, the tribal lands are in far better shape."
6/5/12, "Politician should check her research," Las Vegas Sun, Letter to the Editor, Sanford Cohen, Prescott, Ariz.
"I was staying with my mother-in-law in Summerlin when I read the May 29 letter from Peggy Pierce, a Democratic state assemblywoman, who blames “climate change” for the fires experienced recently in my home state of Arizona.
Pierce is sadly misinformed about the true cause for the catastrophic wildfires experienced here in the Southwest. Once upon a time there was a timber industry in the Southwestern United States and thanks to overly zealous environmentalists, much of the necessary thinning to keep our forests healthy was abandoned, legislated out of existence.
You cannot practice fire suppression without thinning. Overgrowth feeds the wildfires we now have to endure. It is not climate change, it is legislative tyranny and the law of unintended consequences coming back to bite us all.
One need look no further than the aftermath of the Rodeo-Chediski fire, the largest fire in the history of Arizona, which burned more than 450,000 acres (as opposed to the 16,000 in this most recent Arizona fire). Years later, when you compare the Forest Service land to adjacent land on the Fort Apache Indian Reservation, where thinning is practiced, the tribal lands are in far better shape. Pierce would do her constituents a big favor if she did a little research beyond the talking points that place the credibility of climate change in the same category as the “flat earth” theory. Both are equally invalid."=====================================
Washington Post's Tom Toles believes western US fires are being caused by CO2 poisoning. Mr. Toles seems quite certain of his views so I'm not sure documentation to the contrary (above and following) will make a difference. He seems to feel nothing is being done about what he feels is a CO2 poisoning crisis. Mr. Toles says deniers are "gambling" on the planet's well being but the reverse is happening. Billions of US tax dollars are gambled every year on speculation of CO2 poisoning and sent to numerous places around the world in the name of "tackling" an alleged CO2 poisoning problem. Additional money is taken by regulations forced on the assumption that CO2 is poison and that even if it isn't, it's a good idea to effect changes as if it were. However government focus is moving away from CO2 now as mentioned above and following. Scientists have found particulate matter from Asia is changing climate in the western US and other parts of the world including the Arctic. This has been known about for some years, but hasn't received much coverage until recently (articles follow).
The structure for global 'climate' spending by the US government was set up by the first George Bush in the "U.S. Global Change Research Act of 1990." (Bush does mention CO2 near the end). At least 13 federal agencies today are charged with climate change matters via the "US Global Change Research Plan" which began as a presidential initiative in 1989 and was mandated by Congress in the Global Change Research Act of 1990." This doesn't even get into the official gambling casinos that are the carbon trading markets around the world. Will they create an "Asian aerosols" trading market?
6/13/12, "Burning Question," Washington Post, Tom Toles, Opinion
"Enjoying the weather reports? Weather increasingly comes in three forecasts: Out of control wildfires, out of control rainfall, and out of control wind. As the west is once again ablaze in what is now politely called “fire season,” perhaps soon to be “conflagration season,” I invite the ever-clever climate deniers to retell their never tiresome “if this is climate change, I’ll take it!” witticisms. Anyone?...
No matter to the climate change deniers. Their whole game is to sow doubt, like seeding clouds, and this is just more good fun. The telling fact about their passionate love affair with doubt is simply this: THEY DON’T HAVE ANY. They are so sure that there could not possibly be a carbon climate problem that they are content to gamble the planet on their certainty. It’s a sure thing! And one thing we know about gamblers who have “a sure thing,” they eventually gamble it all away."
Public officials shift focus away from CO2 to particulates:
5/21/12, "G8: Leaders open up vital new front in the battle to control global warming," UK Telegraph, Geoffrey Lean
"It seems to have gone virtually unnoticed, but the world leaders at the weekend's G8 summit look as if they have taken the biggest step in years in tackling climate change. And it's quite apart from anything to do with carbon dioxide. The summit's final communiqué, the Camp David Declaration, supports “comprehensive actions” to reduce “short-lived climate pollutants”. These substances – including black carbon (soot), methane, ground-level ozone, and hydrofluorocarbons – are responsible for about half of global warming."...

Per a 2005 study by James Hansen and Dorothy Koch, Arctic black carbon comes mainly from Communist China and India:
Between 1980 and 1995, "BC (black carbon) emissions from developed countries have declined and aircraft are apparently not to blame. However, during this time BC emissions from China and India have nearly doubled:"
2/25/2005, "Distant origins of Arctic black carbon: A Goddard Institute for Space Studies ModelE experiment," Dorothy Koch and James Hansen, NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies, Journal of Geophysical Research
p.1 "Black carbon (BC) particles, derived from incomplete combustion of fossil fuels and biomass, may have a severe impact on the sensitive Arctic climate, possibly altering the temperature profile, cloud temperature and amount, the seasonal cycle, and the tropopause level and accelerating polar ice melting. We use the Goddard Institute for Space Studies general circulation model to investigate the origins of Arctic BC by isolating various source regions and types. The model suggests that the predominant sources of Arctic soot today are from south Asia (industrial and biofuel emissions) and from biomass burning.

Following is a 2007 article about Asian particulate pollution's effect on the western US. The author is by no means a "denier," he is a big believer in CO2 poisoning:
"Asia is the world's largest source of aerosols, man-made and natural."
7/20/2007, "Huge Dust Plumes From China Cause Changes in Climate," Robert Lee Hotz, Wall St. Journal
"On some days, almost a third of the air over Los Angeles and San Francisco can be traced directly to Asia. With it comes up to three-quarters of the black carbon particulate pollution that reaches the West Coast."...
The author didn't note that Communist China will never change its ways because the US takes the blame for everything and pays for everything. The idea that they're really going to turn things around and be good stewards as the author suggests has been claimed for years and will never happen. That idea is spun year after year because it keeps US taxpayers from complaining. As they are punished they can think, "I'm good."
In another 2007 article the author unfortunately bought the 2010 deadline for "50 million environmental refugees" which obviously never happened:

Mrs. Clinton: "I’m highlighting a new partnership that I started called the Climate and Clean Air Coalition, and we’re very pleased that Norway is a member. And it is to focus on what are called short-lived climate pollutants – methane, black carbon, hydrofluorocarbons – which make up at least 30 – somewhere between 30 and 40 percent of the greenhouse gas emissions."...

US "compliance with such (EPA) regulations costs the U.S. economy more than $1.75 trillion per year." And $55.4 billion more in policing and administration. EPA's prohibition on light bulbs will cost $10.9 billion a year.
Update: 8/23/11, "The Alarming Cost Of Climate Change Hysteria," Forbes, Larry Bell
"The U.S. Government Accounting Office (GAO) can’t figure out what benefits taxpayers are getting from the many billions of dollars spent each year on policies that are purportedly aimed at addressing climate change.
A May 20 report noted that while annual federal funding for such activities has been increasing substantially, there is a lack of shared understanding of strategic priorities among the various responsible agency officials. This assessment agrees with the conclusions of a 2008 Congressional Research Service analysis which found no “overarching policy goal for climate change that guides the programs funded or the priorities among programs.”
According to the GAO, annual federal climate spending has increased from $4.6 billion in 2003 to $8.8 billion in 2010, amounting to $106.7 billion over that period."...============================
