Memorial Day 2024: US could’ve observed Neutrality Acts of 1930s, but US politicians love foreign wars and love selling or “loaning” weapons to foreign countries. So, people like Ed Mullen gave years of their lives to politicians in WWII:
During World War II, Ed Mullen was a US Air Force pilot in the Pacific. Here he’s training with a Stearman biplane.

Above: This portrait of Ed hangs over the fireplace at his New Jersey home. The book he’s holding is entitled, “Blues.” He enjoyed catching bluefish. Ed Mullen was born in Brooklyn on 9/27/1922 and died a month before his 95th birthday on 8/24/2017 at his New Jersey home. He’s survived by 5 children, 10 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.
