Ed. note: This was preventable. I could've told you a guy with no job, no intention of getting one, who'd been in prison for armed robbery of a bank, would not repay a bank loan. I actually knew this guy, and he was approved for a new home loan from a mortgage shop during the subprime era. The guy wasn't an innocent "steered" to a loan about which he was uninformed. The chump in this racket was the guy who did everything right, lived beneath his means, paid on time, and was sold out by liars in both political parties. The good guy continues to be laughed at by everyone.
