2011 AGU published study on fire activity in US Rockies through 2008 finds more activity in 1600's and before 1945

9/2/11, "Reconstructing annual area burned in the northern Rockies, USA: AD 1626–2008," Geophysical Research Letter, AGU

"The results suggest that the period 1929–1945 would have been the most active since the early 1600s had not extensive fire suppression and harvest activities altered the fire regime."

Ed. note: The above published study is one of the reasons catastrophic man-caused CO2 cannot be claimed as scientific proof of current US wildfires. Also US CO2 emissions have been plummeting since 2006 and are projected to continue doing so. The US leads the world in this regard. There are ways to mitigate wildfires most of which are set by humans. However the multi-trillion dollar CO2 endangerment industry stands to gain by exploiting the misery of wildfires. Media fans the flames. The catastrophic man-caused CO2 industry is 'too big to fail.' Following are relevant links:

Man fled the blaze he started, couldn't immediately report the fire because there was no cell phone service in the area (parag. 6):

U.S. Forest Service investigators say the 56-year-old Weber, a mental health counselor at Colorado State University, tried to stamp out the fire Monday but then fled as the blaze spread. He later reported starting the fire to the Larimer County Sheriff's Office, officials said. There is no cell phone service in the area where the fire started."

2011's massive Arizona fire was set by humans and had nothing to do with CO2 poisoning. The two men ran away when they saw the fire raging from their abandoned campfire.
