A 2018 New York Magazine article considers how US might look divided into 3 parts, includes demographic details, from the point of view that blue vs red is the problem. The US very much needs to split into 3 parts but for a more urgent reason: to separate the brutal, totally unchallenged, ever expanding US global mass murder industry, “officially fighting terrorism while secretly supporting it,” from the entire US political class which supports it, and US taxpayers who are forced to pay for it. The author notices that the Beltway views the large US population as their source of power:
