"A new paper has been published by Twila Moon et al titled: 21st-Century Evolution of Greenland Outlet Glacier Velocities appearing in the journal Science.
Lead author Twila Moon finds that claims of rapid Greenland glacier acceleration are massively overstated.
The study contradicts all the bedwetting projections made by the crackpots at NASA or the PIK in Potsdam.
The paper’s abstract concludes:
The German online daily Die Welt also reports on the story in an article today called Greenland Glacier Disappearing More Slowly Than Thought.Observed acceleration indicates that sea level rise from Greenland may fall well below proposed upper bounds.”
Die Welt writes that the behavior of 200 glaciers was evaluated over 10 years and that they accelerated on average only 30% instead of the often ballyhooed doubling. Die Welt writes (emphasis added):
"The large glaciers ending on land or in fjords have on the other hand hardly changed or have even become slower, the scientists reported in the Journal ‘Science’.
Sea level rise resulting from Greenland ice melt therefore could end up being far less than what climate scientists predicted.”
Gee, like we’re even surprised.
A series of scientists like expert Nils-Axel Mörner have been telling us for years that the bedwetters had been hyper-exaggerating and that there has not been, is not, and will not be an acceleration in sea level rise. How many experts and how much more real, observed data is it going to take before people realize the models are sheer crap?
Moreover, the scientists are simply just not sure how much sea level is rising. Moon admits that. Die Welt writes:Just how much, remains unclear however, say Twila Moon of the University of Washington in Seattle and her colleagues.”
The tide gauges show zero acceleration. And Die Welt adds:
"‘In some respects our results produce as many new questions as they answer,’ said Ian Joughin, co-author, of the Applied Physics Laboratory of the the University of Washington.”" via Tom Nelson

Maurice Strong, Sr. Advisor to 2012 Rio Climate Summit says global governance is necessary to handle climate change which he terms a global security problem. Mr. Strong is unelected. He's not American, he's Canadian but lives in Communist China. Among other things, "he's chairman of a company that's helping China earn emissions credits, the China Carbon Corporation." (4th parag. fr. end) (Communist China banks millions from the UN climate 'emissions' program).
--------------------------------------------------------
Strong's imperious words from Rio in 1992 are still used to bash the US in 2012, including that it will take awhile to get our sovereignty away from us but it must be done:
1997, "Maurice Strong: The New guy in Your Future!" by Henry Lamb
"Strong has worked diligently and effectively to bring his ideas to fruition. He is now in a position to implement them. His speeches and writings provide a clear picture of what to expect. In 1991, Strong wrote the introduction to a book published by the Trilateral Commission, called Beyond Interdependence: The Meshing of the World's Economy and the Earth's Ecology, by Jim MacNeil. (David Rockefeller wrote the foreword). Strong said this:
"This interlocking...is the new reality of the century, with profound implications for the shape of our institutions of governance, national and international. By the year 2012, these changes must be fully integrated into our economic and political life."
He told the opening session of the Rio Conference (Earth Summit II) in 1992, that industrialized countries have:
"developed and benefited from the unsustainable patterns of production and consumption which have produced our present dilemma. It is clear that current lifestyles and consumption patterns of the affluent middle class -- involving high meat intake, consumption of large amounts of frozen and convenience foods, use of fossil fuels, appliances, home and work-place air-conditioning, and suburban housing -- are not sustainable. A shift is necessary toward lifestyles less geared to environmentally damaging consumption patterns."
In an essay by Strong entitled Stockholm to Rio: A Journey Down a Generation, he says:
"Strengthening the role the United Nations can play...will require serious examination of the need to extend into the international arena the rule of law and the principle of taxation to finance agreed actions which provide the basis for governance at the national level. But this will not come about easily. Resistance to such changes is deeply entrenched. They will come about not through the embrace of full blown world government, but as a careful and pragmatic response to compelling imperatives and the inadequacies of alternatives."
"The concept of national sovereignty has been an immutable, indeed sacred, principle of international relations. It is a principle which will yield only slowly and reluctantly to the new imperatives of global environmental cooperation. What is needed is recognition of the reality that in so many fields, and this is particularly true of environmental issues, it is simply not feasible for sovereignty to be exercised unilaterally by individual nation-states, however powerful. The global community must be assured of environmental security."[8]
Maurice Strong has demonstrated an uncanny ability to manipulate people, institutions, governments, and events to achieve the outcome he desires. Through his published writings and public presentations he has declared his desire to empower the U.N. as the global authority to manage a new era of global governance. He has positioned his NGO triumvirite, the IUCN, WWF, and the WRI, to varnish U.N. activity with the perception of "civil society" respectability. And now he has been appointed Senior Advisor to the U.N. Secretary General and assigned the responsibility of reforming the United Nations bureaucracy. The fox has been given the assignment, and all the tools necessary, to repair the henhouse to his liking."

“China is the most sophisticated player, and they have figured out how to manipulate the baseline to generate as many credits as possible with the least amount of effort,” said Professor David G. Victor, director of the Laboratory on International Law and Regulation at the University of California, San Diego....The corruption- and fraud-prone carbon market. The World Bank runs $2.5 billion in carbon trading funds. "Nobody in that world is critical of the process because they are all making their living off it.”

Ed. note: At minimum this study is another example of a Goldman Sachs assisted invention used to impoverish Americans and hijack their sovereignty. CO2 endangerment does not exist but Goldman Sachs, Maurice Strong et al. knew pretending it did would be a good gimmick to return US taxpayers to subjugation and taxation not known since 1776. It's said it takes 30 years to qualify as 'climate,' so one wouldn't claim a 10 yr. study proves absolutely that man-caused warming doesn't exist. But it certainly says not a penny more taxpayer money should be spent on the assumption that man-caused warming is destroying humanity.
