Warmonger Trump drooling for US to obliterate yet another continent, this time Latin America. “Crisis” he created in Venezuela “has consequences for the entire region.” Trump sending 200 tons of US taxpayer funded aid to his Colombia NATO cronies who’ll supposedly get the stuff to Venezuela

Per US State Dept. website, Trump has allowed Obama’s Ambassador to Colombia, Kevin Whitaker, to remain in place. Why bother having elections if key appointees in pivotal countries are allowed to remain? Now US taxpayers learn that Trump is eager for US taxpayers to obliterate yet another continent, that the Venezuela “crisis” (caused by Trump) “has consequences for the entire region,” the region being Latin America. In preparation, warmonger Trump formally signed Colombia up to NATO in 2018. Proof if needed that NATO isn’t about the “North Atlantic.” As Trump obsessively seeks to sign up and strong arm military alliances thousands of miles away, US taxpayers find that though they pay all the bills, absolutely no one in the entire world is their “ally.” They’re completely on their own.

2/15/19, US military to ship Venezuela aid to Colombia,” AFP

The US military will transport some 200 tons of humanitarian aid to Colombia to help relieve the crisis in neighboring Venezuela, a US defense official said Friday.

Speaking on condition of anonymity ahead of a formal announcement, the official said the aid would be sent in the coming days, most likely aboard a C-17 transport plane.

Venezuela is plagued by hyperinflation and major shortages of basic goods, with opposition leader Juan Guaido and President Nicolas Maduro vying for control of the country.

Tensions have risen since the US first sent humanitarian aid to Colombia, only for the Venezuelan authorities to block a bridge to prevent its entry into Venezuela.

President Donald Trump warned Venezuela this week that “all options” are on the table, and demanded that Maduro unblock US aid shipments to the country.

The defense official stressed that any Pentagon involvement in the crisis was purely logistical assistance in bringing aid.”

May 26, 2018, “Colombia to be NATO’s first Latin American global partner,” Reuters

“Colombia will next week [2018] formally join the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, making it the only Latin American nation in the alliance, President Juan Manuel Santos said late on Friday.

Colombia will join as a “global partner”, Santos said, which means it will not necessarily have to take part in military action, and will be fully accredited in Brussels.

The 29-nation NATO alliance reached a partnership agreement with Colombia back in May 2017, just after peace was signed with the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, an agreement that earned Santos a Nobel Peace Prize.

“Colombia benefits a lot from being an active part of the international community, many of the problems we face are increasingly global and need the support and collaboration of other countries for their solution,” Santos said in a televised address.

Other global partners include Afghanistan, Australia, Iraq, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Mongolia, New Zealand and Pakistan.

The partnership with Colombia will cooperate on global security areas like cyber and maritime security, terrorism and links to organized crime, according to NATO’s website.

The announcement came just hours after the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) approved Colombia as a new member.

“Being part of the OECD and NATO improves the image of Colombia and allows us to have much more play on the international stage,” Santos said.”
